The adventures of Dirk Dangerous and friends are the creation of the fevered imaginations of Phil Leeson and Mark Caldwell. Originally conceived as a series of podcast in the spirit of an adventure radio serial and inspired by a variety of pulp stories, Saturday morning serials and films. The stories are set in the larger than life Planet of Danger a version of the real world filled with villains, super science and supernatural happenings. The stories made an almost instant leap to print two years after conception with The Electron Jockey appearing in Astonishing Adventures! Magazine Issue 1.

Dirk’s adventures take place in a version of the early twentieth century which should not be mistaken for real history. We aim has been to create fun, bite sized stories with an ensemble cast of characters.
